Mechanical EngineerThe requirements of the position call for a
creative, effective engineer with strong 3D modeling and 2D
technical drawing skills. The Project Engineer will collaborate
with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet industry
standards, company requirements, and customer expectations. This
role is expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously,
practicing excellent communication between the customer and
internal teams. This Project Engineer assists in expanding the
company's reputation in providing high-quality automation
platforms, with cost-effective component design. This candidate
must be equipped with strong mechanical aptitude, an ability to
self-manage open tasks proficiently, and experience in a
manufacturing or industrial equipment environment. This position
will report directly to the Engineering Manager. Job
Responsibilities - Industrial Mechanical EngineerInterpret
technical drawings, including tolerance and dimensional analysis
Comprehension of ISO, ASME Y14.5, and GD&T standardsCommunicate
with WEISS customers as required to support standard products as
well as custom-manufactured solutionsCollaborate with WEISS Sales
teams as required to develop concepts and proposal presentations,
including budgetary price points, key benefits, and delivery
timelinesTrack current projects to maintain delivery schedules for
all assigned projectsConstruct assembly/component bills of
materials (BOMs) and router operations required to manufacture or
source products using the company's ERP softwareCommunicate with
all internal teams, customers, and suppliers efficientlySupport
maintenance of WEISS standard drawings, including revisions, file
locations, and ERP BOMs and router operationsMaintain project
budget, scope, deliverables, communication, and schedule to Assist
in developing new systems or component 'standards' for repeat use
across similar projects to promote efficiency in design and
standardization to set customer expectationsAssist customers or
teams with CAD data or technical information requests.Must be
understand and demonstrate our products effectivelyPerform other
miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directedDesired
Skills & Experience - Industrial Mechanical EngineerBachelor's
degree of science, area of study in Industrial Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, or similar focus. Adequate experience
without a degree will be considered.Minimum of 6 or more years of
experience within an industrial or manufacturing environmentMinimum
of 4 years of experience where primary functions included technical
equipment design, troubleshooting, and project
management.Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Microsoft 365
(OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Ability to solve
complex problems, determine the root cause, promote effective
solutions for the problem at hand as well as a positive
impact.Confident understanding of machine components, dynamics, and
machine design.Strong understanding of manufacturing methods and
equipment for component design considerations.Passionate individual
