life. Aptiv.comAbout this positionThe Sales Account Manager for
Signal and Power Solutions will be based in Troy, Michigan
reporting to the Ford Account Director. The role is responsible for
managing and coordinating all commercial aspects for assigned
programs including change management, establishing and
strengthening customer relationships, and developing profit
enhancement and growth strategies. Responsibilities and duties
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key
accounts in the automotive industry.
- Understand client needs and objectives, and propose tailored
solutions to meet their requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries,
issues, and escalations.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue
targets and expand market share.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts
and collaborate with internal teams to propose solutions.
- Forecast sales volumes, monitor performance against targets,
and report on sales activities and outcomes.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms, and conditions with
clients to ensure favorable outcomes for both parties.
- Ensure contracts are executed accurately and in compliance with
company policies and legal requirements.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends,
competitive activities, and opportunities for growth.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and
technological advancements that may impact client accounts.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product
development, and operations, to align sales strategies with company
objectives.
- Provide input to product development teams based on client
feedback and market insights.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status,
and account performance for management review.
- Analyze sales data to identify strengths, weaknesses,
opportunities, and threats (SWOT) and recommend corrective actions
as needed.Basic qualifications
- Skill in negotiations
- Ability to coordinate and lead cross functional teams
- 5+ years sales/finance/ engineering experience in automotive
supply
- Advanced English proficiency
- Bachelors degree
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple task
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Word, Excel and PPT
- Knowledge of SAPNice to haves (preferred qualifications):
- Advanced Spanish proficiency.
- Prior Experience in automotive wire harness operations.
