Position:  Sr. Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester job in Cleveland, OH
Location: Cleveland, OH
Duration: 18 month Contract
 
MODIS, a leader in the IT Services and Staffing industry, is working with a client to fill a Sr. Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester in the Cleveland area to join their forward-thinking, prestigious organization.
 
Position Description:
 
The Sr. Software Quality Assurance (QA) Tester will be responsible for gathering requirements, creating test plans and cases and executing the test scripts using automated technologies such as QTP and HP Quality Center (QC).  Prior experience testing web based applications and creating complex SQL Scripts is required. Knowledge of BPT automated testing, Data Warehousing and any testing certifications are highly desired traits.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Gathering requirements and analyzing them with testing in mind
• Execution and analysis of testing of user and system interface functionality
• Track issues to successful resolution
• Collect metrics to measure test progress & quality outcomes

 
Candidate Must Have:
 

• 
  

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field is required
• 8 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance
• 8 years creating complex SQL scripts
• 8 years test case design and development
• 5 years using HP Quality center for requirements, test cases and defect tracking
• 3 years data validation of SQL and/or Oracle databases
• Experience with QTP and/or Quality Center is desired
• Experience creating BPT (Business Process Testing) automated test scripts is desired
• Strong communication skills are essential
